In the scope of AUTOSAR, in addition to the definition of a development process, end-users have to use a tool chain which offers, at each step of the process, the ability to gain the best performance in terms of usability and functionality. Many tools that exist "on the shelf" cover most of those development steps.
However, each OEM or Tier-1 has its own particularities, which require the development of additional modules or tools. Thanks to its skills in tool development, pulse-AR propose to accompany the company in the specification phase of the tool, as well as its development, validation and deployment.

Our main offer is based on the industrial standard Eclipse framework and Artop, the additional plug-in specific to the development of AUTOSAR tooling.

Eclipse is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) with editors in most common languages (C, C++, Java, Python...) and a plug-in system with which the users can extend the functionality of the IDE. With Eclipse, it is possible to have a complete environment, from system design to debugging and testing, and the plug-ins can be customized according to everyone's need.

Artop is a layer that provides all basic AUTOSAR meta-models functions. It is accessible free of charge for all AUTOSAR members, and has been developed for several years. The main advantage of Artop is that it provides all the functions required to build an AUTOSAR-compliant tool, while ensuring that the low-level services are in line with the standard.

AUTOSAR now offers the possibility to redesign the whole software architecture of a system and /or an ECU. The consequences are that new actors like engineering companies could develop application software modules from functional specification mostly delivered by model-based design tools. pulse-AR has the proper skills to realize those developments; its AUTOSAR expertise enables the possible optimization the the implementation according to predefined criteria. Moreover, we include in our service the unitary and functional validation for an optimal delivery and integration.

pulse-AR can propose its services either in your premises (which is advisable at least in the first stages of the specification) or not. Many companies today try to reduce their operative cost by outsourcing the development of some functions of the system; based on our experience, we know that if not correctly managed, this can lead to overhead costs, often late in the development.
